What is the garden design process? In this series of posts is a step by step guide to answer that question.

Projects differ in size or scope and the design process varies accordingly so not all steps apply to all projects. Often only the first 4 steps are required.

Step 2, Design Brief.

Following a consultation, the design brief describes in detail the objectives of the project and outlines all the key elements to consider.

Single element projects such as a small patio/terrace redesign or a stand alone planting plan may only require a few lines of detail, larger projects may run to a few pages.

At this stage we may also start sharing images/creating a mood board.
